How To Become A Commissioner
To be eligible to serve on a board or commission, you must be a registered voter of the City of Corcoran, and reside in the city limits.
When commission vacancies occur, announcements are made at City Council meetings, notices are published in the local newspaper, The Corcoran Journal, and posted at the Council Chambers Bulletin Board. The City advertises openings as a result of term expirations; however, unexpected vacancies can occur. Openings which occur mid-term may be filled through a new advertisement. If you are interested in applying for an upcoming vacancy, please complete a Commission Application or contact the City Clerk at 559-992-2151 extension 235.
