The Corcoran Police Department, in partnership with the Central California EMS Agency, will be presenting "Stop the Bleed" training on November 29, 2018 at the Corcoran High School Technology Learning Center (TLC).  This training will teach participants how to save a life and stop the bleeding after an active shooter or intentional mass casualty event.  Participants will explore the "Hartford Consensus" and its overarching principle that no one should die from uncontrolled bleeding.  At the conclusion of the training, participants will know how to stop bleeding by applying pressure, utilizing a tourniquet or packing the wound.  There will be 2 sessions offered, with the first session running from 7:00AM-9:00AM and the second session running from 9:30AM-11:30AM.

Anyone interested in registering for this valuable training is encouraged to contact Rachelle Cortez at (559)992-5151 ext. 272.  This FREE training is being offered to anyone in the community; however we encourage you to register early as each session is limited to the first 50 individuals who sign up.
