Details: On August 3, 2019, at approximately 10:30PM, Corcoran Officers were dispatched to the area of King Ave. and Pueblo Ave. for a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic accident. When officers arrived they located a 42 year old male in the roadway on King Ave. suffering from significant injuries. This subject was transported to a local hospital by emergency medical personnel where he died due to the injuries sustained in this traffic accident. While on scene officers contacted an 18 year old male subject who was determined to be the driver of the Peterbilt truck involved in this collision. Through investigation officers have determined the driver of the Peterbilt was travelling S/B on King Ave. when he collided with the 42 year old pedestrian who was walking near the middle of the roadway. The 18 year old driver of the Peterbilt was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs and speed is not believed to be a factor in this traffic accident. Toxicology results are pending for the 42 year old pedestrian. This accident is still under investigation and it is unknown at this time why the 42 year old male was walking down the middle of the roadway.
