Details: On February 21, 2019, at 9:15 AM, Corcoran Police Officers, members of the California Department of Corrections and CDC Parole conducted a compliance search at a residence in the 2000 block of Cedar Avenue. Mario Nunez and Gloria Gomez were contacted at the residence. Nunez is on active CDC Parole and the subject of the search. During the search, officers located a large amount of Marijuana and Marijuana oil packaged for sale, weighing scales, and over $7,300.00 in cash.  A loaded handgun, rifle parts, and ammunition were also found. The handgun was determined to have been reported stolen from Tulare. 

At the time of the search three minor children, ages 3 years, 5 years, and 3 months were inside the residence.  All of the items located were accessible to the children. Mario Nunez and Gloria Gomez were arrested and booked into the Corcoran Police Department for the charges of possession of marijuana for sale, possession of a stolen firearm, being a Felon in possession of firearm, firearm parts and ammunition, and child endangerment.

Mario Nunez was later transported to the Kings County Jail and a no bail Parole hold was issued. Gloria Gomez was later released pending further investigation.
