The Corcoran Area Transit (CAT), KART, and Kings County Association of Governments (KCAG) are currently in the process of developing a Transit Development Plan (TDP). This plan will cover five fiscal years, FY 2020/21 through 2024/25. The TDP will provide strategies for public transit to better serve disadvantaged groups and the social services and provide updated inventory. The next General Municipal Election will be held November 3, 2020. At this time, three Council Member seats will be up for election. The candidate nomination period is from July 13, 2020 through August 7, 2020.

On Tuesday, February 18, 2020, the City of Corcoran's Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing to consider the adoption of the Mitigated Negative Declaration pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The hearing will be held at the City Council Chambers located at 1015 Chittenden Ave, Corcoran, CA 93212. The site where the new park is proposed to be built has not been identified on any list of places containing hazardous materials, pursuant to Section 65962.5 of the Government Code. On March 28, 2019 the User Fee Study Report, and the revised User Service Fees were approved. The revised user fees shall be effective beginning July 1, 2019. Below is a copy of the revised user fees.

Un- kept lawns and high weeds are not only unsightly and considered blight and a nuisance but can become an extreme fire hazard as temperatures heat up.
