City Manager's Office

The City of Corcoran is a General Law municipality operating with a Council-Manager form of government. Under this type of government, the elected City Council establishes policy, and the City Manager is responsible for executing such policy. Therefore, the City Manager is the administrative head of the government under the direction and control of the City Council. Accomplishment of the City’s day-to-day functions is the responsibility of the City Manager, through the heads of various departments.

The City manager’s staff includes the City Clerk, and Deputy City Clerk. Budget oversight, economic development, personnel functions (recruitment, employee benefits, etc.), special projects and all related activities are accomplished in this office. Concerns or questions about City policies, procedures or issues can be addresses by the City Manager or his staff.

The City Clerk is responsible for preparing the Agendas for each City Council meeting. Individuals wishing to submit items for the council agenda must do so by Wednesday prior to the council meeting in which they would like the issue addressed.
