On Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 10:00 PM, officers made a traffic stop of a vehicle in the 2100 block of Letts Avenue.  The driver, identified as Jose Dejesus Rios, was determined to be driving without a valid license and had two active warrants for his arrest.  Rios was arrested for an active no bail Fresno County warrant for narcotics and DUI violations, as well as an active Kings County warrant for misdemeanor possession of narcotics.

A search of the vehicle Rios was driving resulted in officers locating over one ounce of methamphetamine and narcotics packaging material.  Rios was also found in possession of approximately 0.9 grams of cocaine located inside his wallet and an additional 1.2 grams of methamphetamine wrapped inside a dollar bill that he brought into the city jail facility.  Rios was also determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance.   Rios was interviewed after his arrest and admitted to purchasing the narcotics earlier that night with intent to sell them.

Rios was transported and booked into the Kings County Jail for the listed offenses with a bail amount of $75,000.00 along with the no bail Fresno County warrant and $5,000.00 bail Kings County warrant.
