Housing Programs

The City of Corcoran in partnership with Self-Help Enterprises offers no to low interest rate loans to residents of the community for the purchase or rehabilitation of property within the city limits of Corcoran. Each program has their own set of qualifying criteria, which you can find by clicking on the title of that program. The following programs are offered by the City annually while funding is available:

  • Housing Rehabilitation - Assistance with housing repairs and renovations like roofing, electrical, plumbing, foundation, windows, heating and cooling, insulation, structural and handicap modifications.   • Emergency Repair Grant Program - The Emergency Repair Program is designed to help those in urgent need of daily necessities that compromises health and safety, such as problems with water and/or sewer systems, heating and cooling.  These funds are provided as a grant to the qualifying household.  For more information visit the "Emergency Repair Grant Program" link on this page or contact Julie Cabanas Self-Help Enterprises (559) 802-1610.
  • First Time Home Buyer Program - If you are a First Time Homebuyer looking for a home located within the City of Corcoran city limits, the City of Corcoran offers programs that offer NO INTEREST/NO MONTHLY LOAN PAYMENTS for eligible households. The City of Corcoran will act as a secondary loan at 0% interest deferred for 30 years, and can loan up to 49% of the purchase price of the home.
